Tadasana - Tree Pose

This pose is the most challenging to me, due to my lack of balance. Tips?

Meg, this is also challenging for me, but because of my knees. The trick to most of these poses is to lock out your standing knee and flex the quad of the other leg. also, hips forward and push the knee down. I have seen a difference since i've started, but my knees are just really tight.
