DIY Feather Necklace

All you need is a couple packages of feathers from the craft store, some wooden beads (also found pre-packaged in craft stores), some hefty string (leather is great), scissors, a very sharp point and an hour or two. Arrange feathers as needed and cut them to appropriate lengths. Poke holes in them about 1/2 an inch from the top (this may need some extra elbow grease - i had to lightly use a hammer and a needle to make a hole on a few) then string the beads and the feathers together, tie off and you are DUNZO.

This is really a nice necklace! Hey, if you very lightly run the back of the feather base on a light bulb you can straighten it a little more like the picture of the feathers on the maniquin.
